Description
The ROKR Manta Ray (MI06) is a mechanical desktop 3D model kit that assembles into a kinetic manta ray with flapping/undulating pectoral fins and integrated LED lighting. The kit is aimed at hobbyists who enjoy hands‑on builds that result in a moving display piece and typically takes around two hours to assemble.
A small internal motor (driven from three AAA cells) powers the fin linkage and a swaying tail; LEDs under the body pulse in time with the fin cycle. A single button on the included display base switches between a slow “glide” mode and a short acceleration (“burst”) mode, which also speeds the LED pulsing. Parts are precision laser‑cut from wood, and assembly requires working with small screws and tight tolerances.
Once built, the manta ray sits on a raised base so the fins clear their range of motion and the motion+light cycle can be viewed from any angle — suitable as a desk ornament or part of a kinetic collection.
