Description

The NikolaToy Tesla Columbus Egg is a desktop gadget consisting of a metal ‘egg’ that sits on a clear acrylic base containing a rotating magnetic assembly and motor. When powered, the motor spins paired magnets in the base to create a rotating magnetic field and eddy currents that make the metal egg spin and ultimately stand on end — a compact demonstration of Tesla’s Egg of Columbus.

Compact and eye-catching for a desk, shelf or classroom, the silver egg is aimed at tech enthusiasts, educators and anyone who likes interactive desktop objects. It’s useful for quick physics demonstrations (rotating magnetic fields, eddy currents and gyroscopic stabilization) and as a tactile, hands-on fidget/demonstration piece.
